THE TRIANGLE BURGLED - PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN
My name is Dave and I run 'Saltaire - Keep It Local' both on Facebook and on Twitter. We're generally all about bigging up local businesses, events, new ventures etc and hopefully persuading people to spend their £££s as locally as possible. What we're trying to do here is to go one step further and directly help out a local, independent business - The Triangle in Shipley, in its time of need.
The Triangle was burgled last night (between 00.30 and 2.00 early Monday morning), extensive damage was done, c£3000 of stuff was taken including a load of stock, record decks and other equipment from the function room upstairs. This comes on the back of another burglary last Christmas.
Lots of people have already come forward to ask how they can help, how they can contribute financially to help the Triangle get back on its feet, about crowdfunding etc - hence what we're doing here.
This is very much about the local community coming together to help a local business - this is not Gavin's idea but we are of course doing it with his permission! Our aim is to help Gavin secure The Triangle against future break-ins with roller shutters of some kind. We'll get quotes and update as we go.
Please, give what you can no matter how small. Of course there's another very important way you can support The Triangle - pop in for some beers or attend one of the many fabulous events - win-win!
