Let us help the Tofo community in Mozambique!
I started this donation campaign with the help of Dalilo Munguambe and Filipe Cuamba to collect donations for the Tofo community in Mozambique, which is suffering due to lack of income.
Here is what they wrote:
Hi everyone,
life in Mozambique and specifically in Tofo, will soon have reached the peak of disgrace, since people around Tofo had their sources of income based on the tourist industry. Now that there's no longer tourism due to the pandemic, many families are affected by the starvation and claim for help. Mozambique is a poor country and is full of vulnerable families (grown up people with nobody to look after them/ orphans living among them all). The disease we are afraid of here in Mozambique is the starvation, rather than the covid-19 itself. That is why, we would give many thanks for those who felt happy to help the local community with anything they can. There are some appeals running through down the village, but still cannot cover everyone around.
