Hi everyone,
As many of you know, our brother and son Greg beat cancer 2+ years ago. It was a super rare tumour called a chordoma and it required several surgeries to remove the tumour, part of his spine, and to install an unbelievable amount of hardware to keep everything together. At that time it was weeks of rehab and 2 months of radiation.
It's this hardware that is causing him trouble now. He fell and broke his hip a couple months ago and the hardware has had to be fixed several times, each time it meant surgery and stay in hospital. All these surgeries has led to difficulties with the healing process and our sweet Greg has been stuck in hospital for over a month now, with two more surgeries planned and at least another month stay in Sydney.
We have been so impressed with the strength that Greg has shown, the patience and the love that exists between this amazing little family, his wife Katie and two little girls, Ella and Lily.
However, all this time off from work has left them with other stresses and we are hoping to alleviate some of that through this fundraising campaign. These funds will help with accommodations for Katie and the girls when they visit Greg in Sydney (Dubbo is 5 hours away), medical expenses and lost income.
