Baby Jezreel was born August 3rd of this year to Jeff and Krista Terry. She was adored by her big brother Jaythen (6), and all those who met her.
On September 6th, at only a month old, she was admitted to Stonybrook University Hospital due to dehydration caused by what was thought to be a milk protein allergy to her formula. Her condition declined quickly, and over the course of the next two and a half weeks she was admitted into the pediatric ICU where she would fight for her life. She developed blood clots, causing a brain bleed, suffered seizures, and ultimately was put on life support. Doctors believed that the seizures had caused Jezreel to become brain dead, and after multiple tests, it was determined that she was, and Jezreel passed away on September 24th.
Jeff, Krista, and Jaythen spent hours upon hours at the hospital watching their loved one slip away from them.
After experiencing the most devastating thing a parent could go through, Jeff and Krista are now faced with mounting medical debt, and a funeral to plan. We are hoping with the love and support of the community, we can help ease their financial burden.
