Help the Switzers Recover

Hey everyone,

My friends, the Switzers, need your help. Their house was hit hard during Harvey, and they're going to need assistance to recover.

I know – it's another Harvey story. One where they were rescued by boat along with their neighbors and sheltered at Gallery Furniture. Where their home of the past nine years was flooded, and half of their lives have been discarded. I've spent several days there helping them slowly move their home to the garbage. It's taken an army of friends and neighbors, and we still have a lot to go.


I've known Switzy for five years, working with her almost every day during that time. Her earnestness and optimism makes my day better, and she's made countless lives better through what she does every day. So when she's hurt, the rest of us are too.



I've honored to have spent the last two days with her and Kevin cutting sheetrock, removing cabinets and fixtures, and loading everything that survived into storage. Downstairs is now empty to the foundation – no floors, no furniture, not even anywhere to use the restroom anymore.

Anything helps; whether you can contribute $1 or $100 to help buy materials to repair their house. They've done so much for us; now, it's our chance to help them. Nothing is too small; nothing won't be appreciated. We've all been hit by Harvey, and it's going to take all of us to rebuild.
