As always, I put all of my love and energy into the food I make for my customers, patrons, friends, and family. These are unprecedented times we are facing. I never thought we’d have to experience something like Covid-19 in our life time.

Takahachi has been in East village for three decades with many great memories and stories. I’ve known many families & kids from day one, Some of those kids are in college now.

Skateboarders, Artists, Freelancers, Photographers, Musicians,Trainers,Boxers, Bartenders,Dancer,Servers, Athletes, Educators, Healthcare workers,Students, and many others, my LGBTQ friends and anyone who came to Takahachi even once, We’d like to “ THANK YOU! “. The relationship Takahachi and its customers is above and beyond, the strongest in our community.

We still want to keep this relationship & this restaurant’s hospitality as an icon of our neighborhood and the city of New York.

After much thought and many of our regulars reaching out to us about how they can help, we have decided to setup Go-Fund-Me page. Please donate whatever amount you can, The money will go to our employees and to help takahachi alive. Thank You!
