<div>In 2026, Hal’s Hacker Shack will Launch the Volusia County Shack for Seniors program!
</div>

</div>
<div>Phones and Tablets are very small, and seniors have a hard time performing tasks on these devices. This is why they need their computers with larger displays, and additional features.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Shack for Seniors program goal is simple, to provide Volusia County Senior Citizens with the service they need so that they can continue to keep their computers fast, up to date, and reliable so they can stay in touch with their neighbors &amp; family, pay their bills, and be able to participate in all their online appointments, ie: Tele-Medicine, etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donations to the Shack for Seniors program will allow Hal's Hacker Shack to repair computers for senior citizens at no charge, by assisting with the costs associated with repairs and upgrades to their PC’s ie: Hard Drives, Memory, Batteries, etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With our expertise, facilities, and your generous donation we will make a difference in the lives of Volusia County's senior citizens who are on a limited and/or fixed income.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once we reach our goal the program will launch and we start helping Senior Citizen's repair, and/or upgrade their personal computers for free!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This program will be available to the approximately 115,000 qualifying senior citizens that are 65 and over and legally reside in Volusia County, Florida that are on a fixed and/or limited income.

<div>Here are 5 reasons to help Hal's Hacker Shack provide Shack for Seniors services for Volusia's senior citizens:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>1. <strong>Accessibility and Inclusion</strong>: Technology plays an increasingly important role in modern life, but many seniors may not have access to the digital tools they need due to financial constraints or lack of technical expertise. Providing free computer repair services can help bridge this gap and ensure that seniors can stay connected with loved ones, access essential health information, and participate in their communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2. <strong>Empowerment and Independence</strong>: By helping seniors fix their computers, you're enabling them to maintain their independence and self-sufficiency. This can be especially important for older adults who may be living alone or have limited mobility.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>3. <strong>Social Connection</strong>: Technology can help seniors stay connected with friends and family, but it can also provide a sense of social isolation if not used properly. By fixing computers for free, you're helping to reduce this risk and promote social interaction.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>4. <strong>Healthcare Benefits</strong>: Access to digital health resources, such as tele-medicine platforms or online health records, can improve seniors' overall healthcare outcomes. By providing free computer repair services, you may be contributing to better health outcomes and improved quality of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>5. <strong>Volunteerism and Community Engagement</strong>: Fixing computers for senior citizens for free is a form of volunteerism that promotes community engagement and social responsibility. It shows that individuals are willing to invest time and effort into helping others, which can have a positive impact on society as a whole.
