Help the rebuilding of the Well Bean Cafe

Hi all,

I’m setting up this page as a member of the Royal Albert Wharf community who has lived here for 5 years.

Charlie, the owner of the Well Bean Company, joined the community a few years back by opening a small chocolate kitchen at the back of Raw Labs. Since then, he has invested time and money to also open a cafe, which has become a central piece of this small community.

Well Bean not only makes delicious chocolate, but the cafe has also introduced coffee, drinks and food to the menu, making it the only place we can sit down to socialise, study or work, and an integral part of this community.

More importantly, the project supports Mental Health charities by donating money to them, and supports several families by employing wonderful people.

Sadly, on the evening of Tuesday 2nd November, there was a fire in the kitchen, causing damage to the cafe and factory. The damage has meant they have had to close for the foreseeable future.

This page has been set up to help Charlie rebuild so he can continue his amazing work and we as a community can enjoy of this space once again.
