Help the Rawlings Tigers get from Nashville to Indianapolis
Donation protected
The Nashville chapter of the Rawlings Tigers (D-BAT) is playing in the GMB Summer Championships this June in Indianapolis, and we need your support to make the trip possible.
This tournament presents a tremendous opportunity for a local 11u baseball team to compete at a high level against clubs from all over the Midwest at Greenwood Sports Park -- a brand new and beautiful complex just south of downtown Indy. While some kids on the roster come from means and can cover their share of team expenses, others aren't quite as fortunate and could use a little assistance from donors like yourself.
As opposed to most youth baseball teams, which tend to be run by a couple of dads, the Tigers are coached by three ex-college players in their 20s: head coach Ryan Gaynor alongside assistants Bailey Holbrook and Matthew Steidl. They're all instructors at D-BAT and spend their days giving lessons to kids here in Music City, but this club is their weekend passion project. Our goal is to ensure that none of them have to come out of pocket to be part of this trip so they can concentrate all of their energy between the lines.
Not only is this an outstanding group of kids, but it's also a sensational trio of coaches working hard to pass on America's Pastime to the nest generation of athletes. With your generosity, players and coaches can look forward to the kind of tourney experience they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
Monetary donations of all shapes and sizes are welcome and appreciated, as every penny goes to help cover costs like hotel rooms, transportation, meals, entry fees and team functions.
