Help The Queens compete at WOD Finals in LA

We are The Queen’s; an all female identifying Jazz Dance company based in London. Established by Nicola Mac in 2017, our company ethos is ‘Jazz is Joy’, promoting happiness, empowerment and unity. Since the company's conception, we have set out to perpetuate that message around the UK and beyond! With Jazz foundations at our core, we fuse an array of other dance styles with feel good, timeless hits which gives us our unique edge. By meeting everyweek, developing friendships within the company and adding our personalities and sense of humour to the mix, this then births eye catching movements, androgynous energy and comedic storytelling to the work we produce. This distinctive formula has made The Queen’s a stand out company within the dance community and through our song choices and style of movement, we bring generations together.

In May 2022, we competed at World Of Dance in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and as we achieved a qualifying mark, we were selected as a Wild Card to compete at the World Finals in Los Angeles! We are extremely proud to be the only competitors from the UK and to be given this once in a lifetime opportunity to take our style to a global stage. 

Ultimately, we dance for the love of it! We have found life-time friendships through The Queen’s which is a testament to the sense of community that dance can create. We are a self funded dance company which is why we are setting up this page. We were able to compete at World of Dance in Eindhoven as a result of the generous donations of friends, family and supporters through our gofundme page in 2019. We now turn to you again for your continued support so we are able to see this journey through to the end! With only 7 weeks to prepare for this momentous event (and traveling halfway around the world!) we would greatly appreciate any donation you can offer.
