Hi I am a mother of six children, five still living at home. I'm my husband's and 12 year olds fulltime career for autism and mental health problems. Life is hard but rewarding. We recently moved to Phillip Island from the suburb of Frankston to give our children a better quality life. I have managed for many years to commute by public transport until now. The bus service on the Island is poor and far between. I'm now relying on taxis for everything. Being a carer means I can't work to save money myself. My pension only just covers everything required to survive weekly.
