Help the Peaspanen Family Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Thank you to everyone who has donated to this fund to date. Without your help, none of our progress and hope would be possible.
John is responding amazingly well to his immunotherapy treatments. Only 20 percent of patients show any response or improvement with this type of therapy. Recent scans revealed John has had a surprising 16 percent reduction in his tumors and zero spread to other organs.
Further hope has come from The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. The doctors there feel they can help John with cutting edge therapies and technology not available in Winston-Salem. The possibility of surgery and liver transplant - previously ruled out as impossible - are now being explored. Mayo in FL is one of only three facilities in the nation that performs liver transplants for John's rare cancer.
All of this is great news. Unfortunately though, this fund has been depleted. Bills for past chemo infusions keep coming in at $32,000 per treatment. And travel to and from Mayo, aside from the actual care, will be a financial hardship for this family. It is expected that multiple trips to Florida will be required. Fuel, lodging, food and medical expenses will accumulate very quickly.
That said, we need your continued support. Anything that anyone can donate will be immensely appreciated. Hope is alive. Together, we will save John's life!
