Some sad news: two days ago, Htae Paw passed away with her family by her side.
The family has been so thankful for the generosity of the community. There’ll be significant costs that will carry on from here, so we’ll leave the GoFundMe campaign active. Please feel free to continue sharing the site.
As well, there’ll be plenty of ways we can continue to support the family (an upcoming food train, helping out with the kids in a variety of ways, etc).

Yesterday, Htae Paw, the remarkable mom and grandmother of the Paw kids was transported to Calgary Foothills ICU for a medical emergency. The family left today, as they were needed at her bedside. They're unsure how long they'll remain there and the extent of expenses they'll incur.
Eight years ago, when I returned from three weeks at the Foothills, the Paw family left four bags of groceries at our door.
This is the quiet strength they bring to us.
This humble family, who knows how to make something out of nothing, would never ask for our support. They're an integral part of our community and could sure use our help now.
