Help the Parkhursts Adopt

So as of last week we are back to waiting. That sweet Momma chose another family. We were sad but we know the Lord has our story written and that wasn't the baby meant for our family. 
 Through this process the Lord has used the "Yes" to draw me back closer to Him. I had withdrawn and distanced myself from him over the past 2 years since losing our baby girl, not fully trusting that He wanted good for us, or that He really loved us. But somehow, saying yes to the unknown in this scenario, has helped open me back up to trusting in His goodness, trusting that he knows best and really delights in writing beautiful stories for his children.

So I'm so glad to wait and see what is next, I'm anticipating the next phone call, which should be any day now. The agency is really busy and they have more Moms coming up to match!

We got a call from our agency last week about a potential match!!! The dream is becoming reality, it was so unreal to hear the words coming out of the phone, " There's this Momma who's pregnant with a baby girl...".
Our profile will be shown to her this Thursday and she'll be choosing the family for her babe. Please pray with us that if it's the right fit for our family, she'll pick us. 
We also realized we didn't account in the legal fees that are out of pocket so we've bumped up our financial goal. We appreciate any consideration to partner with us! It's getting closer! I'll continue to update when we hear back from the agency!! 

What an amazing time we had recently in Ohio. We collaborated with friends and family and put on a Gala/Auction to raise more of the funds we need! It was amazing and such a fun night. We had classical guitar, dance, a solo by my Dad and a really fun auction led by a licensed auctioneer! We raised over $5,000 from the event! What a blessing. So we're still a little ways away from our goal, but we're confident of Gods provision and the generosity of people like you!

We are so excited to be adopting a sweet newborn and becoming a family of 6!  We are Jesse and Joanna Parkhurst and we live in Kansas City with our 3 beautiful biological children. 

We have always loved the idea of adoption and thought it a noble and beautiful thing, and had planned to maybe pursue it one day for our family.  In 2017 we lost our 4th baby to a miscarriage and through that loss we were led to pursue adoption sooner than we expected.  

Now fast forward to August 2018 and we are finished with our homestudy! We were able to raise about $3500 so far thanks to our amazing friends and family, but we still need about $9,000-10,000 more.  

Any amount helps towards bringing that babe home into our waiting arms and hearts! Thank you for considering partnering with us!

We are waiting to be matched with a birth Mom and seeing how that all goes.  We know that God has an amazing plan and we  look forward to seeing how that plays out, hopefully sooner than later.  Thank you for also praying with us, for the birth Mom, for the safety and protection of our sweet baby and for our and our kids hearts in the waiting process!

As soon as we get matched we need half of the adoption fee which is $3,500 and then the second half will be due at finalization.  

There are agency fees and possible medical fees for the birth Mom and baby as well.
