Help the Organista Family Rebuild

An icon of the Carpinteria community has lost his and his family's home.

Thousands upon thousands have been affected by the Thomas Fire of Ventura County. Our beloved Michael 'Oreo' Organista and his family are some of the unfortunate neighbors that have lost their home in the blaze. He attempted diligently to fight the fire and save the house but ultimately had to evacuate.

Mike and Erica were raising their two young children on the idyllic Rincon Mountain property in Ventura County along highway 150. Affectionately known as 'the Prop', Mike built this house with his own hands.

Mike, a Carpinteria native, is a staple in the community. Creator and lead singer of The Upbeat, performing music for the masses over the last 30 years. He is also known for linking with people in the surf at 'the Con'.

. . . Now he needs our support.

Living off the land and creating a sacred space on top of Rincon mountain was a vision that Mike's family saw through. Now it’s time to help them rise out of the ashes.

Please put forward anything possible to help them rebuild this sacred home and space.

The Organistas have entrusted me, Dan Boer, to manage this fundraiser. I am a bandmember in the Upbeat. All funds will be used in the reconstruction of the house on Rincon Mountain.
