<div><strong>ABOUT THE NOKE KOI</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"Noke Koî" means original/true people. They consider themselves to be the <em>"True People of the Amazon Rainforest"</em>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their story says they came out of the Earth, breathed into life by Kokapino Txari (the Great Spirit), who showed them how to live. They received knowledge on how/what to eat, what medicines to use and how, as well as prayers and dietas to strengthen the body and spirit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unlike many other tribes that were influenced by the "Yaras" (White people), the Noke Koi still preserve their traditional ways and only a few speak Portuguese – their native tongue is Nokevana and <strong>it is spoken by everyone in the tribe.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They work with different plant medicines and are widely known as the original people of Kambô, which is used for healing various illnesses among their people.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The <strong>Nomawana Village </strong>is located in the state of Acre, Brazil, in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. It hosts 120 people, of which <strong>about half are children</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Nomanawa family has resided on the banks of the Tauari River since the<strong> first generations of the Noke Koî people</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The village is beautiful and it’s surrounded by Samaumas (their sacred tree, known as the Mother of the Forest).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It has a wonderful center to receive visitors, which was built through donations in 2021. It includes a maloca (ceremony space) as well as 17 houses with beds and shared bathrooms.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The center has electricity and a water well. However, <strong>their own houses still remain in complete darkness and with very limited access to water.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708633912962871_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>WHAT'S NEEDED</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> SHELTER:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634065952728_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634099486923_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They managed to build beautiful homes for visitors but their own basic wooden huts <strong>are all falling apart. </strong>In fact, they're in such poor state that they can't be fixed. They need to be demolished and built again from scratch (and with better construction plans and materials). They are in need of support to re-build <strong>35 houses for all families.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>‍♀️ TRANSPORTATION</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634172582976_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their boats, which is the only way they can get to the nearest civilization for supplies, are broken and their motors and propellers are completely unusable. They are in dire need <strong>of a minimum of 5 new boats</strong> with good motors.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>☀️ SOLAR ENERGY:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634214269025_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They need new solar panels and equipment, as well as a good generator for backup, so they can access clean drinking water through their well (which requires electricity) and provide electricity to their homes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> WATER:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634242547091_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They currently have <strong>one well for all 120 people</strong> and are in need of at least one more to sustain all families as well as visitors with clean drinking water.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> INTERNET/COMMUNICATIONS:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The tribe needs basic access to internet in order to communicate with the outside world. And while their Cacique has a strict plan to limit their use in order to avoid the trappings of the modern world, he needs internet in order to keep this community afloat. We want to set them up with Starlink for the whole village.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> WOMEN'S SUPPORT:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634326783570_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The women in the village are responsible for making the “artesanatos” (crafts) which they relay on for both spiritual technology and financial sovereignty. They are in need os support with their meterials as well as with empowerment and education. None of the women in the village speak Portuguese at the moment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> SCHOOL:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1708634428523324_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With so many children in the village, their dream is to build a school to keep the tradition alive and continue to pass on the language and traditional knowledge to the future generations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> RE-CONSTRUCTION OF THEIR VISITOR CENTER:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78464167_1712967671360715_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their center is their most precious and sacred space where they receive visitors, conduct all the spiritual work and gather in community. It is in need of an upgrade, which includes reinforcing the structure, fixing the bathrooms, and reliable electricity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>These are basic survival needs. </strong>This beautiful village deserves and needs our help with these simple modern technologies not only so that they can survive and thrive in life, but so that they can continue to share their important, sacred, and ancient healing technologies with the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Your support can create a lasting impact for the Nomanawa village, a community that embodies resilience and hope in the Amazon Rainforest. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By donating, you become a part of their incredible journey towards a brighter future. <strong>Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference in their lives.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Join us in this meaningful cause and witness the power of generosity in transforming lives!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, or as they say in their village...
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Vari vari!</em>
