Help the Morrison's Rebuild Their Home

Donation protected
Officer Jeremiah Morrison has worked for the Lexington Police Department for nearly 6 years.  Jeremiah is married to his wife Anna and together they have four young children: Kezia (8 years old), Nehemiah (7 years old), Tirzah (4 years old), and their new baby Emzara (9 months).  Even before becoming a police officer back in 2015, Jeremiah had devoted much of his life to serving others through ministry and his skills as an auto mechanic.  Anna serves others faithfully through her career as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

After years of service, the Morrison’s now find themselves in a position where they could use some support from their community.  In the recent floods, the river near the Morrison’s Madison County home quickly rose to an unprecedented level and flooded their property.  Thankfully, no one was injured, but as a result, the Morrison’s have lost nearly everything.  Their home has been deemed a total loss.  The Morrison’s are currently displaced and living with family members until they can begin the process of rebuilding.  To make matters worse, the Morrison’s had just recently changed their homeowner’s insurance provider and the new company did not assist in keeping their FEMA flood insurance filed & current.  This flood coverage, unbeknownst to Jeremiah and his family, had lapsed due to it having still been on file with their previous insurance provider rather than their new provider.  This means that at this time, the Morrison’s are without any insurance coverage that will assist them in recovering from the disastrous flood that took their home and their belongings.

To say they are struggling is a massive understatement.  Both Jeremiah and Anna will be forced to miss work in the coming days and weeks to reestablish living arrangements for them and their children.   Jeremiah is humble and does not ask for help.  He works hard to provide for his family, but the loss of their home is a nearly insurmountable hit and they need the help of others now!    Let’s support this sweet family in their time of need by giving them some hope that one day soon, they will have a home they can call their own once again.
