Help the Millers rebuild after the house fire

Donation protected
On Friday April 9th, at 4:30 pm, Ken was bbqing and went inside to grab something.
When he turned around, the house was engulfed inflames. He yelled at everyone to get out… run!
Tessa, the oldest daughter grabbed her phone, called 911, then grabbed all the dogs (3).
They ran out, someone saw a cat run out. They had three cats.
The windows exploded, the house filled with oxygen and burnt in minutes. The fire department arrived, unfortunately too late.
Just over a month ago, they moved to this amazing community, bought  the only thing they could afford.
Their new to them, heritage home in Vavenby, just outside of Clearwater, was a school at one time and the local dance hall, built in 1925.
Due to the age of the building it posed some challenges for the Insurance agent and she was in the process of shopping around their home insurance.  They were to discuss the prices this Monday, April 12th. They have no home insurance.
Neighbours in Clearwater have come together, in ways they could never imagine.
Friday night, April 9th after the fire, their closest neighbour called the pharmacy and got all their medication refilled and delivered it to them, they were given vouchers for clothes, and food.  A local hotel welcomed them. Mel and Kens cell phones did not survive the fire.  They currently have one cat, and are not sure if the other two cats survived
The next day, Saturday April 10th, they were offered a cabin, by a kind local, rent free, till they can get back on their feet. I'm unsure if they have accepted this offer yet.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the community of Clearwater, has organized a 'work party" to  help them look through the rubble, and  find some personal items of importance.
Amazing people in Clearwater, coming together, during trying times.
They are going to need money to try and find permeant accommodations, until they figure out what their next steps are.
I will keep this page updated as we go along.
