<div>On August 15th, there was a tragic incident that resulted in the death of Brent’s parents and his brother Jordan. This hardworking family currently on maternity leave with their new baby have had their lives turned upside down. The more we raise, the easier it will be for them to focus on what is important. For more details on what happened the story was widely cover in the news. And we will be happy to discuss it privately.

<div>Since that day, they have been very busy with funerals, out of town mourners and such. As the chaos dies down, the real work begins and it will be easier because of the financial cushion we have created for them.

<div>Your donations are made available to Brent and Alicia almost immediately so they can be put directly towards the unexpected expenses associated with this tragedy.

<div>None of these funds are being used for household or personal expenses, and regardless of the amount collected, none will be used for those purposes in the future.

<div>In addition to peace of mind for the family, this campaign has been a wonderful tool giving Brent and Alicia the ability to scroll through the names of donors from all different corners of their lives and feel the love and support. This is so important until they have time to speak to people directly.

<div>This page has also become a place where various donors reconnect with others they have fallen out of touch with. Seeing a familiar name from the past reminds those grieving out of area to feel a sense of connection.

<div>Our ongoing goal is make sure that the family has a cushion for unexpected expenses. It is impossible to know what could come up in the days ahead.

<div>When the time is right, I hope with this campaign, the family will be left with some seed money to create something lasting that will transmute their tragedy into lasting change be it a foundation, an award, a scholarship.
