<div>     It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce Payton Mead's passing last night, September 13, 2021. He was an unusually bright and kind young man. Deeply dedicated to his academics (especially in the sciences) and to his family, Payton could always be found either studying more than he needed to or running some errand or other for his folks or driving his sister Maddie to work or practice. He had hoped for a career in physical therapy and that profession will be poorer for the lack of his comfort and encouragement. He was the son we all hope our sons grow up to be.

<div>     Payton is survived by his parents, Michael and Ashley, who could not have been more proud; by his sister, Madison, with whom he was thick as thieves; and by his youngest sister, Macie, over whom he was especially protective. 
</div>

<div>     The Meads' desolation is magnified: No parents should have to bury their own children. But worse, they find themselves unable to afford to lay Payton to rest with the dignity with which he carried himself. They need our help.

<div>     With this Go Fund Me, we hope to raise enough money to cover the costs of Payton's burial and memorial services as his passing was utterly unforeseen.
