At 5 a.m. on January 2, 2018, Daryl and Shannon McKnight and their autistic son, Michael, woke up to a popping sound in their attic, and watched in horror as their home went up in flames. They were able to escape and are thankfully unharmed, but they were unable to get out with anything except the clothes on their backs.  They have already faced so many struggles, and they've done it with more patience and faith than you would imagine they could have. They are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Daryl is working to support his family, but also trying to take care of all his family's needs. His wife Shannon is medically disabled and requires oxygen full-time. She undewent a surgery just a few days before the fire. Their double-wide mobile home was paid for but unfortunately did not have any home insurance on it, as it was not something they were able to afford.  Their future is uncertain and they have no way to pay for all the clothing and household items they will need, not to mention they are now homeless.  ANY help or donation that can be shared will be so appreciated by this wonderful family.
