<div>On Thanksgiving weekend, the McGees - a family of 7 - experienced this nightmare situation: losing their home and all of their belongings to a fire. Luckily, the family is physically ok, but only had time to save their pets. To quote a family member, "They left the house with no shoes and coats and just stood outside in the cold as their home burned down".

<div>It will take lots of time, effort, and financial resources to help the family rebuild the physical items that were lost. The four youngest children, ages 13-17, are currently split up staying with family and friends. A little bit about them:

<li>A "second mother" who loves her cat, Hunter. She goes to school and works part-time to help the family. She will likely lose her job because she can no longer get there.

<li>A self-procliamed "princess" who loves Spiderman/Tom Holland, writing in her diary, and Tik Tok dances.
</li>

<li>A Flash/Grant Gustin fan described as "quiet and chill" by a family member.
</li>

<div>Most people could not imagine such a tragedy happening at a worse time, in the middle of the holiday season, a Chicago winter, and a pandemic.<strong> But the holidays also bring out the best in us. Let's take this opportunity to support the McGee Family in their time of need! </strong>
