On the morning of August 26th, the Manati Family experienced a devastating house fire that changed their lives forever. The fire completely destroyed their home leaving them with nothing while tragically taking the lives of three beloved children and left their parents, along with two surviving children, critically injured. Their family and community are completely heartbroken as they face the unbearable pain of this loss while also holding onto hope for healing and recovery. As the Manati Family’s loved ones remain hospitalized, they are facing an incredibly uncertain road ahead filled with grief, medical challenges, and so many difficult decisions no family should ever have to make.

My name is Alessia Firi, and I am the great-niece of the Manati Family. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my grandpa’s brother and his family during this unimaginable time.

This fundraiser was created to help bring the Manati Family some financial relief during this devastating time. Donations will help cover medical expenses, housing,  funeral and memorial costs for the three children, and other urgent needs the family may face. Every donation will go directly toward helping the family navigate the immediate financial burdens that come with this tragedy.

I will be coordinating with the family to ensure the funds are provided to them and used for their needs. My goal is to make sure the donations are handled responsibly and that the family receives the support they need during this incredibly difficult time.
