Guillian-Barre Syndrome triggered by flu vaccine

Donation protected
On October 15th,  I received a flu vaccination.  On the 18th,  I was hospitalized with a reaction from the vaccine called Guillian-Barre Syndrome and was paralyzed. I was given IVIG treatments and was in the hospital for a week.  This disease left me in a wheelchair and unable to take care of my family. After a week being discharged from the hospital,  my home health agency suggested I go into a rehabilitation hospital. I have been in this hospital for a few weeks and won't be discharged until December. I am making great progress, but not where I need to be yet. My family has suffered tremendously because of this unexpected turn of events. My husband has taken off so much time off of work and we are getting behind on our bills, as well as worrying about providing a good Christmas for our 2 girls. Our girls are 7 &6 years old and they have been staying with another foster family for the last month while I recover and it has been super hard on them! I have never been away from them.  My husband and I are heavily involved in the foster care community and have fostered close to 50 children of all ages within the last year and a half. To say we are a busy family is an understatement. I can't even believe this is happening to us.. To me.. But we need help! Any amount will be such a blessing for us! I definitely don't want to start losing things because I got sick. Thank you for taking the time to read this!  -Cassie
