On April 23rd the beloved Main St Cafe in Monroe, WA was broken into. Not only did the burglars destroy the cash registers and card reader, they stole money, a TV and emptied the entire freezer and fridge and all the prepped food onto the floor. Sadly Sandy Adkins, the owner, had previously been in the hospital for hand surgery, when she returned to find the mess, she was in complete shock.
Thankfully our amazing community jumped into action and raced to help. Within hours the mess was cleaned up and the waste hauled away. She was able to reopen on Friday, but with no card reader and broken registers was only able to accept cash.
Sandy has been no stranger to tough times in the restaurant business, her prior operation sadly burned to the ground in 2016. Shortly after she started seeing The Hitching Post restaurant for sale. Doing her research on the local eatery, she knew she wanted to keep the doors opened and bought the business and renamed in The Main St Cafe.
Lets all help her keep this dream alive and support her amazing strength! Please Share, donate and/or come have some amazing food!
