Today, our family of eight from Lafayette, LA, experienced a devastating house fire. We are grateful that everyone made it out safely, but the loss has been overwhelming. Along with losing our home and belongings, we lost a beloved service animal who was a lifeline for my daughter, Kylie Leger. Kylie has mental health challenges, and her service animal provided her with daily comfort and support. The loss has been especially hard on her, and we are all struggling to process what happened.

 Right now, we are focused on finding temporary housing and replacing essential household items. Our service animals are a vital part of our family, and losing one has left a deep void. We are reaching out for help to cover the costs of a safe place to stay, basic necessities, and to begin rebuilding our lives. Any support will make a real difference as we work to recover from this tragedy and help Kylie and the rest of our family heal.
