Help the Knowlton family health emergency

Hi everyone. For those of you that know me (Angie Knowlton) and my son Cash Knowlton; you know our story.
I’m a 44-year old mother of two living with End-stage renal failure. I’m on dialysis 3 times a week to survive.
I am currently waiting for the call to receive a life-saving kidney transplant. (Update as of Oct. 5th I got the call to go in for a potential match. If all goes well surgery will be Oct. 7/24)
While the cost of the surgery is covered by OHIP there are MANY costs left unfunded. Travel, accomodations and anti-rejection meds are all monthly costs each patient must pay out of pocket for post-transplant.
Even with my 80% private drug coverage my anti-rejection meds will cost between $800-1000 each month.
Costs could increase substantially if there are complications.
For the first month it is expected that I stay within close walking distance of the hospital in case of rejection and complications s due to my highly sensitive RH factors.
There are no subsidized medical accommodation’s, so hotel or sublets costs are our own expense.
For the first 6months to year I will be having to attend twice or thrice weekly medical clinics to ensure the organs stability. These will be reduced to monthly after the year and eventually longer if rejection doesn’t happen.

Cash has ASD and was recently the victim of a horrible accident involving a scooter. He collided with a tree going 30km/hr. in Little Lake Park. He broke his upper jaw, nose and several front teeth.
On Thursday Cash had emergency plastic surgery to stabilize his jaw with wires and repair his crushed nose. His teeth will be a secondary surgery after his jaw heals and will cost between 5-10k.
For the next 4-6 weeks we will be going to Sick Kids for weekly check-ups followed by a few weeks of dental surgery and fittings.
Each day trip to the city is costing due to gas, parking and food. Approx. $250 a trip is spent all in.
Our family is a single income family, my husband will be forced to take a short-term leave from his job as a apprentice Tool & Die worker to be a caregiver for not one but two family members.
Were well aware of these being difficult financial times for everyone right now. We thank anyone who can donate however much they are able. If you aren’t in the position to donate we totally understand, but ask you to share to get our story out.
