Help the Kelley Ohana

Aloha and my name is Billie Martines and I’m a close friend/family member of the Kelley Ohana.

On 6/29/21 we lost an amazing mother, wife, sister, and all around beautiful soul.

Diana Kelley was loved by all. She leaves behind so many loved ones but most importantly her husband Joel Kelley and their daughter Ariana Kelley.

Diana had open heart surgery on June 10th. Even though Diana’s inside gave the surgeons a hard time the surgery was very successful. After coming home from Oahu her husband Joel took great care of her and did regular health checks on her being an EMT and First Responder.

on June 29th he found her to have an increased heart rate and decreased oxygen saturation. After calling her doctor he took her to the Hilo Medical Center where they diagnosed her to have a Bilateral Pulmonary Embolism that the doctors said was highly treatable.

As the medical staff administered meds to treat her condition, Diana coded with Joel right by her side. Doctors decided to get her ready for a life flight to Oahu. Diana never made it to Oahu. She coded multiple times and fought each time like the champ she is.

At 10:12 on June 29, 2021 Diana lost the battle. I drove Joel to the hospital to be with her one last time.

Those that knew her know that no words can describe her kindness, smile, and love. She was a beautiful woman inside and out.

I humbly ask everyone for support for Joel and Ariana. They will need help paying for medical expenses, celebration of life expenses, and living expenses until they are able to figure out life without this irreplaceable woman.
