Help The Hyatt Family

Due to the Thomas fire, many people lost their homes and everything they owned. Many of my friends, including the Hyatts lost everything but the clothes on their back. Early Monday night we got a call saying that there was a fire, and that it was far away, and wouldn't make it to Wheeler Canyon until midnight, if at all. We went to evacuate the horses just in case. Stacy got four of the eleven horses out in the first trailer load.  It was planned to get all eleven horses out, making three trips, but within thirty minutes upon getting into the canyon, the entire canyon was on fire. Stacy made it out with four horses, and by the the time she got back, wasn't allowed back in the canyon. They were forced to leave four horses at a boarding facility with flat land and no brush, and miraculously, the fire burned all around the property, but the horses  made it. The other three horses that were on Stacy and Allie's property, were in a burning pasture, and Allie barely got them out as the fire was coming down the hill. We made it across her bridge, leading the horses by hand, and cats from the house  in the car. We used her car with flashing hazard lights to escort the horses down the road. The fire became too big, it was on all sides of the canyon, and the embers were raining down on us and the horses. The fire was cutting the exit to the canyon off, so we had no choice but to turn the horses loose and try to make it out ourselves. Again, miraculously, Stacy Hyatt (Allie's mom) got a call hours later saying that the horses we turned loose made it through the fire to the bottom of the canyon unharmed, and were picked up and taken to the fairgrounds. All of their animals somehow made it! Their house, all of the pastures for the horses, all of the feed for the horses, and everything they owned was burned to the ground. There wasn't much warning, and there was supposed to be more time to evacuate. They made it a priority to get the animals out first, and as such are left with only the clothes on their backs that they were wearing the night of the fire.
