Help the Homeless of the High Desert

We are the High Desert Mutual Aid Society. We are concerned members of the High Desert community who want to help others through this pandemic. We operate out of Hesperia, Victorville, Adelanto, and Apple Valley.

This pandemic is not ending anytime soon and the best way to stay safe and stop the spread is to stay at home. However it is very difficult to do that when you have no home. As food banks are being strained all across the community it may also be hard for the homeless to find food and the risk of infection is very likely in our underfunded homeless shelters. 

So where our government fails we will step in. We are assembling care packages of food, water, medical supplies, and masks to provide to the homeless in our community. This isn't a permanent fix to the issue of homelessness but it will go a long way to helping those struggling in the desert. 

The money will be used to acquire the essential food, water, and medical supplies. A single bag costs $3 and we have already begun to assemble 25 care packages. The issue is that this money is needed soon. There hasn't been a real plan to help the homeless by any of our city or county governments. There's very few resources available to them and by donating you will be helping someone who is struggling to survive.
