Hey guys!
As many of you know, Marty has been suffering for the last year or so with Brachial Plexus. He has lost most of the feeling in his right hand and with it being his dominate hand, it has affected every aspect of his life. He has been battling with trying to figure out how to recover from physical therapy to medications and as of now, it has little to no improvement. They are finally looking for help and some answers at the Mayo Clinic, but with that the appt came quick on August 15th, providing them little or no time to prepare financially. Insurance of course doesn't cover traveling expenses such as motel, rental car, or food. Flights alone are $485 a person and if they have MJ go to help incase Marty has surgery, that means 3 spendy tickets needed. If they don't fly they will still have costs for fuel and whatnot and it all adds up fast as we all know and the motel is around $100-$150 a night during the week. So with this all being said, we are starting a help fund for them. For those of you that know Marty, also know that he is one of the most giving and helpful people there is no matter the cause. So now let's help them get him healed up and not have to stress about the financial part of it. Anything helps at all, just give whatever you can and know it will be appreciated immensely! We are keeping this quiet from all of them because they are not the ones to ask for help but rather offer it to everyone else. We don't want to add any extra stress with them thinking people are doing this for them so please try to keep them in the dark and let us surprise them with everyone's generosity. So please don't say anything! If you are in this, please don't feel like you have to participate! If you would like to chip in, please let us know. If it is cash, I have an empty account at Montana Fed I will place it in and save to give to them the week before they leave. If I have enough interest I am hoping to somehow figure out how to get their plane tickets covered ASAP so they can make arrangements based around that. Time is cut real short so we are just trying to make the best of it however we can help them most. If you have any other ideas on how to help out, please let us know!
