Help The Golden Knights Drill Team

After being quarantine do the pandemic, The Golden Knights Drill Team is finally back and in need of funding to help our members participate in this years Bud Billiken Parade as well as a host of other events . By not being able to rehearse for a year we have dedicated all our time for the last two months to practicing for our performances which have lead us to not being able to fundraise properly because of timing. A lot of hours go into every performance routine!

The Golden Knights Drill Team is a not-for- profit performing arts organization that is focused towards the youth. Our mission is to teach youth the principles of discipline, leadership and charity through performing arts and community service. Our members range from ages 5-28 years of age & We perform to various genres of music with imitation Rifles, Flags, & Our Majorette Team.

To date here are a few of our accomplishments:

-1st Place Winners Of The 2015 & 2016 Bud Billiken Parade (Chicago,IL)

-Marched 34th 35th annual New York Halloween Parade

-Marched Mendota Sweet Corn Fest Parade and placed 1st out of over 250 units

-Performed at UPS 100th anniversary celebration.

- Golden Knights Drill Team Annual Feed The Homeless event

- Also Featured On ABC 7 News Windy City Live

Our reason for this gofundme; this year we really need your help! Our drill team is asking for donations to help with providing uniforms and hotel stay for this year Bud Billiken Parade and Mendota Swet Corn Fest Parade Performance.

We understand this is a short noticed. However, our youth have been working very hard and we don't want to let them down. Our youth Matter! Anything from $1.00 - whatever $$$ you can provide towards our goal will be more than helpful and appreciated.
