The Golden family has called their Kerrville property home for decades. The land, inherited from Dean’s parents, has been lovingly cared for and shared with friends over the years. Dean, a proud Army veteran who served honorably as an Infantryman, and his wife Teresa have built a life here with their 10-year-old son, who loves playing football for his school. Their kindness and generosity have touched many in the community, whether by welcoming friends to hunt on their land or simply being good neighbors.

 Recently, devastating floods swept through Texas, causing severe damage to the Golden family’s dirt road. The last flood in Kerrville was so intense it made the news, with tragic loss of life in the area. The heavy rains left the road filled with craters nearly two feet deep, making it nearly impossible to access their home without a powerful 4-wheel drive vehicle. Even then, the journey is rough and dangerous, putting vehicles and the family’s safety at risk every day.

 Repairing the road is a significant expense, and for a middle-income family, saving enough to cover the cost is a real challenge. That’s why I’m reaching out on their behalf. The funds raised will go directly toward fixing the road, restoring safe and reliable access to their home.
