the Gannons

My brother in law Geoff was diagnosed with colon cancer recently. Geoff is a loving husband to my sister Rose and a fantastic father to their three sons; Ryan Jack and Conor. Most of you know my sister more than you may know Geoff. Rose was always there to volunteer at school, she’s organized a handful of fundraisers, she is the friend who took other children to and from their activities when parents were in a bind even if her boys weren’t on the team. Rose was always the first to help and never said no to anyone.         
        Geoff was the man behind the scenes; the husband who dragged the cooler and chairs, and did anything my sister had asked. He very rarely asked for help, but was always quick to lend a helping hand. This page was created to support not only Geoff, but the rest of his family. Geoff will be having his surgery soon and will require treatment that will have him out of work for a minimum of 8 weeks. The doctors explained that, due to the location and size of the mass, they won’t know the extent of the repair until the day of surgery. This could mean a longer recovery and time away from work.                    This journey has just begun for them whether they were prepared for it or not. With your help, they can focus on the physical and psychological challenges the entire family will face without worrying about financial struggles.
