Help the Furguson's and McKinley's make accessible changes to their new home!

Heather and Luke are some of the most giving people that I have ever met. The lengths that they will go to make a change in the world is incredible. They are truly wonderful people.

Luke spends his time dedicated to teaching at an inner city school where he tries to bring interest to science through hands on teaching methods and was nominated as the Ohio Science Teacher of The Year. He is a wrestling coach at McCord Junior. High. He also coaches another wrestling program in Sylvania for grades 1-6.

Heather spends her days with their 5 children and taking care of other families children as well. She is also involved in the community and often volunteers her time at the kids schools, coaches sports and substitute teaches at Northview HS.

They already had 5 kids, which is quite a big family to start with, when they agreed to foster a two year old girl and 4 week old boy. In the beginning they believed it would be a short term placement until the mother could get her life back together. What was supposed to be a short term placement turned into full custody. On top of their already busy schedule, they have taken on specialists and developmental therapy and court dates to make sure these 2 beautiful children have a normal life.

Additionally Heather’s Mother’s health has rapidly declined over the last 2 years to the point that she needs full-time assistance. Heather's Dad is currently her full-time caregiver but it has become more than he can handle alone. After many long talks of putting her in a home, the conclusion was to find a space that could maybe fit all of them and Heather would be able to help her Mom and give her Dad some well deserved time to himself.

This is where I come in. I helped these 2 generous families find a fantastic home with the space to accommodate all 11 of them! Now all that is needed is a few modifications to make the home more accessible for Debbie. Unfortunately, they have needed to spend the majority of their assets to be able to buy the home.

One of the major projects that needs to be completed is to turn a first floor half bath into an accessible first floor full bathroom. Some additional modifications will also need to be made so if there are additional funds, they will go towards those.

These are some of the most giving people that I have ever met in my life. The lengths that they are willing to go to help others is unbelievable. At this time they could use a little bit of help and returned good karma. They have done so many good things for the people in our community! Will you help me bring some good back to them?
