Help the Evenson's start IVF.

Hi, my name is Michelle and I work with Tawni at Altru. I am starting the fundraiser as Tawni and her husband Josh are starting their journey with IVF. I am including Tawni's last FB post which gives the smallest glimpse of what they have been dealing with. I had to convince Tawni to let me do this as we all know how expensive this journey is. Any help will so be appreciated by this family.

Tawnis FB post on October 12th, 2021

One of my favorite things about my husband is his faith, and how he’s taught ME about faith. For a year now, we have prayed for God to bless us with a baby. We have cried, we have prayed, we have gone to numerous appointments, taken numerous medications, done injections, diet changes, etc. With no success, no two pink lines, no tears of joy for answered prayers. Nonetheless, We have each other. We have friends and family cheering for us. We have doctors doing everything they can to make our dreams come true.
I have not handled this smoothly. There is no correct way to handle not being able to grasp something you want so desperately. I’ve prayed harder, I’ve cried, been angry, given up, been devastated, cried some more, but mostly, I’ve leaned on my husband. God bless this man who was sent to me, chose me knowing we would face these struggles, and loves me anyway.
I’m writing this not as a “poor me” (although, I’ve had my pity party days), not as a “boast about your husband” (but man, does he deserve it), but as an ask for help. Our next step in our infertility journey is IVF, this decision has not come easily, and we know the hardships we face. I know there are strong opinions about this out there, and I ask that if yours are negative, to please keep scrolling - we have faced enough tears and stress, we do not need unsupportive opinions added to that. What I do ask, is for prayers. I don’t think I’ve ever voiced that out loud, and certainly not on a social media post. But my husband has taught me many things, and one of them is that we cannot lose our faith. We know that this is all a part of our journey, and that it’s happening for a reason. We are choosing not to stress over things that are out of our control, and we will continue to pray.
