Dearest Friends and Students of the Escuela Mundial,
As you know, since March 12 all the activities of tango were suspended in Buenos Aires and we don’t know when they will start again. Our staff (teachers, secretaries & collaborators) is made up of about 50 people and almost all are economically maintained with the income obtained through the school. Because the school is closed, we do not receive any type of income, thus leaving 50 families in a very precarious economic situation, with an uncertain future. Having all that in mind, we have decided to open a campaign to raise funds in order to help our dedicated teachers and staff cope with these hard times. If you are able to do so, we would appreciate any financial contribution at all from the bottom of our heart. To you, those who collaborate, we will give a little attention: a Special Edition Cup of the School, commemorating our unity in the face of adversity. It will be handed to you personally when you visit us again in Argentina. To provide transparency, we will attach the list of beneficiaries of the amount collected, a list that excludes our dear Director, Gabriela Elias. We are always in touch and will provide you soon with important news.
