Help the Dunfee Family in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
As most of you know, the Dunfee family is always one of the first to support, encourage, assist and champion anyone in need. This wonderful family needs our help now. The last several weeks Fred and Leila have been going from hospital to hospital to try and get answers and help for Fred's cancer. To say this journey has been tough on them is an understatement. And with all this going on they continue to still check on others and work on making sure the entire Impact Softball family is ready to go come game time. We would like to try and now help them, just like they have helped so many of us. This money is to assist them with bills as they continue to fight the cancer.

A little history for anyone that does not know the Dunfees':

Fred is an Army Vetran and was deployed to Iraq. On July 15, 2007 the truck he was in hit an IED. His entire team survived, although Fred suffered a traumatic brain injury and was awarded a Purple Heart. He spent a year at Walter Reed recovering. 3 years after coming home he was diagnosed with colon cancer. His cancer eventually went into remission. He went several years without any issues until last summer, where he found out his cancer was back and he has been fighting ever since. He is a living symbol of perserverance. He has been coaching softball for 20+ years in travel and rec league. He founded the Impact program so girls could have a place to play competitive softball at an affordable price. While battling cancer, he does not let that stop him from coaching or showing up for the girls in the program.

That is only half of this amazing couple. Leila is selfless, sweet, caring and has been right by Fred's side this whole time. This summer she contacted A Solider's Wish and wrote a wonderful letter asking Fred to be considered. He was chosen and received an amazing fishing boat, all due to Leila's love and admiration of him.

Together they have 3 wonderful kids and an adorable grandson. Thank you for taking the time to read and any donation will be greatly appreciated.
