Help the Downham Amateur Dramatics Society

Hi there,

I am raising funds for the DADS - the Downham Market Amateur Dramatics Society that's been running for the last 76 years but is now in desperate need of your help!

Amateur Theatre is so important these days, it brings people together, allows us to tell unique, emotional, fun, entertaining and moving stories. It brings communities together both young and old, but like most theatre over the past year we've not been able to perform but have still had large outgoings to pay which has left our society struggling to survive. We've also got a kids club called KIDDS which we are still able to do and we are just about able to put on A Christmas Carol but this may well be our last production unless you can help!

We are asking you to donate whatever you can and in return we are going to give everyone who donates over £30 a special gift of a unique audio book of the unabridged A Christmas Carol starring Christopher Ryan (The Young Ones) and Sophie Aldred (Doctor Who) in addition to a huge cast of professional and amateur dramatics performers in this unique experience.

Anyone who donates over £50 will receive A Christmas Carol plus a very special audio story of "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" the complete novel again starring a full cast of actors and specially put together.

Anyone who donates over £100 will receive both audio's and a complementary ticket to the live performance of A Christmas Carol taking place at Wimbotsham Village Hall in December 2021.

Of course you can donate any amount but without you we can't make a real difference to people's lives by bringing the power of theatre back!

We are also planning on live streaming the performance of A Christmas Carol in December 2021 so anyone who donates £10 or more will receive the link to the performances so you can watch it even if you can't get to the theatre!

This money will be used to pay for future productions and keep the society alive - no keep local theatre alive in our region! We really do need your love and support! So go on donate today!
