Help the Displaced in Tigray, Northern Ethiopia

Mission Exodus is a fundraising initiative organized by P2P to help the displaced in Tigray, Northern Ethiopia. Since the beginning of the crises in Tigray that started in November 2020, an estimated 1.7 million people have been displaced according to USAID. For effective distribution of assistance, P2P has decided to support a local charity 'Tinfas Tidehela'  which works to provide clean water by providing 10-gallon water containers, clothes and other critical emergency supplies to help the affected vulnerable population.

The war in Tigray was started by TPLF fugitives who launched a premeditated and organized armed attack on the Northern Command of the Federal Armed Forces of Ethiopia stationed in Tigray in November of 2020. To defend and protect the rule of law, the government was compelled to undertake a law enforcement operation. TPLF was an autocratic and dysfunctional government that ruled Ethiopia under dictatorship for 27 years prior to the current government. After launching a military attack on the military base and its detachments, killed them in a cold blood, looted the garrisons, this terrorist group purposely destroyed the infrastructure to stop the advancements of federal troops, forced the local population out of their homes to stage humanitarian crises and get international attention to accomplish their narrow vested interests and falsely accused the government and peaceful citizen living in surrounding areas as committing the heinous crimes that they committed themselves. As a result of these selfish and outrageous acts by the TPLF, Ethiopians in Tigray region had suffered immensely. Their fugitive members in different countries had set up multiple fundraisers promising to help people affected by their own atrocities however, after collecting millions of dollars, they had refused to do what they promised which was assist the displaced and instead, they have publicly announced that they will use the money for lobbyist to reach powerful and influential law makers in different countries, mostly in the west to advance their agendas. Many displaced Ethiopians in Tigray are living in crowded camps throughout the region and suffering by a lack of healthcare, adequate clean water, food and emergency supplies. The government is working tirelessly and few NGOs are helping to meet the need but it's not just enough.
