Help the Dillings

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that a go fund me page has been set up for Edgar David Dilling, born Jan 5, 1956 in Winnipeg Manitoba.

Tragedy struck in the Dilling family home on Feb 8, in Abbotsford, when his wife Sandi came home in the afternoon to discover that he had suddenly and very unexpectley passed away in their family home.

Dave is survived by his wife Sandi, who were married for 40 years, son's Jason and Randy and Daughter Danielle (Bouvier) Son in law Tyler Bouvier and Granddaughters Makenzie and Emily.

Dave truly was one of a kind, he lit up the room with his stories, jokes and contagious chuckle. He always told you how it was and was one of the most genuine and sincere people you could meet.

Most importantly dave lived his life for his family and grandchildren. He was always so excited when his two granddaughters came over and that was often as this enabled his daughter and son in law to earn a living without having to pay for childcare. Tea parties and dress up were a regular occurance when the grandchildren were over.

For those of you who personally knew Dave, you knew he would give anyone in need the shirt off his back whether he had the means to do so or not, he made it happen.

Unfortunately life took a turn for the worse for Dave when the unforeseen termination of employment at Craftsmen collision, where he had worked over 16 years as a Bodyman. The stress from the loss of his job has weighed heavily on him and the family for the past month. To make matters worse, Dave's extended benefits/medical/dental/life insurance was terminated 8 days prior to his death. Therefore, leaving his wife, Sandi, in extreme financial distress to cover his celebration of life cost, rent and bills etc. Because there was no will, finances will be held up for several months

Dave never took life for granted he lived life to the fullest. He never missed a family gathering, birthday, holiday celebration or just a casual Sunday drive. Long weekends were often spent at the family cabin in Osprey Lake and in the Summer you would find Dave in Penticton, BC. where he took his only vacation from work for the year. His love for Penticton became an annual family tradition to his favorite spot for over 25 years with his wife, kids, grandkids and whoever else wanted to join. He recently spoke about how when he left this world, he wanted his ashes to be spread in the Okanagan and Skaha lake, as it's the place he loved.

If you can find it in your heart to please donate anything to this family during this difficult time to relieve some of the stress Sandi and family are now faced with, it would be greatly appreciated.
