Help the Dana’s financially during COVID

Tony and Melissa Dana have been struggling financially for many years, trying to survive day to day, but have finally come to the breaking point. Melissa has a disability that prevents her from working, and has been unable to receive state disability benefits since 2015. Consequently, full financial dependency lies on Tony. On December 10, 2020, Tony was diagnosed with both pneumonia and COVID-19. A week later, he was taken to the hospital from his doctor’s office by ambulance, where he has been ever since. His condition has only worsened despite doctors’ best efforts. They have been having a difficult time maintaining his oxygen levels and put him on a ventilator on New Year’s Eve. On January 2, he was given a 10% chance of survival when his kidneys began to fail. He received his first dialysis treatment the following day. Throughout all of these recent events, he is still facing the effects from pneumonia and COVID-19 nearly a month after his initial diagnosis.

Right now is the most critical and crucial time for Tony and Melissa. With Tony out of work for nearly a month and in the hospital for almost three weeks, Melissa is having a hard time affording everyday living expenses, on top of bills, mortgage payments, utilities, and imminent medical bills.
