<div>Recently our lives have taken an unexpected turn as my mom, Rizalina Dacayon, was diagnosed with stage 2 endometrial cancer that has now spread to her cervix. My mom lives in Davao City, Philippines, and does not have any health insurance.

<div>I have been working extra hours cleaning houses and office buildings but it is not nearly enough as my mom already owes over $12,000 Canadian dollars for her medical appointments, chemotherapy, radiation, and medications.

<div>My mom has always had the heart to lend a hand to anyone in need, but now is the time when she could really use our help. She has been struggling with severe pain for months until the pain became unbearable. In typical Rizalina fashion, she tried her best to continue to work because she didn’t want to have to rely on her family.

<div>We hope to care for the heavy financial burdens that she will have in the months ahead. This is why we started this fundraiser. Cancer does not discriminate, it targets anyone no matter how wonderful they are. My mom has used up what little money she had saved in order to pay for her medical appointments.
