Help for our children's theater survive COVID
Donation protected
The Curtain Playhouse provides opportunites for students aged 5-18 to learn about all aspects of theatre, from acting and singing to costume design and stage production. Classes put together two mainstage productions each fall and spring, and there are also summer camps and a yearly trip to compete in theatre competitions. It is incredibly fun and rewarding for all the kids as they get to be creative and work as a team. This is a family-run organization and has been open since 2005.
With COVID-19 closures this spring, their two spring productions have had to be postponed (we hope not indefinitely!) and they have lost money from private lesson providers, summer camp enrollment and the cancellation of the spring trip. Additionally, Eric and Tammy Franklin operate the company full time and this is their only source of income. They cannot make payments on the space they rent and also have to keep paying for phone, Internet, utilities, royalties, costumes, etc. They may have to close their doors to future productions if they cannot support the needs of the theatre.
Here's where you come in. If you can donate even a small amount to keep this local theater education going, it would mean the world to this community of amazing, creative children. The show must go on. Let's make sure it does!
