<div>Friends and family of the Cullens, I am reaching out because Michelle, CJ and their three little kids have been on my heart for months, and it seems their stormy season is yet to let up. As you may know, Michelle was injured while taking her kiddos on a scooter ride to their neighborhood park. She has been hobbling around with her driving foot in a clunky, clumsy and accident-prone boot for the majority of this new year, while chasing her toddler and caring for her two school aged kiddos through their busy drop-off/pick-up schedules and many extra curricular activities. Surgery is scheduled for Friday, March 6th, with 2 weeks of strict no-weight bearing. Between Michelle, CJ, and all three kiddos, I have lost count how many Urgent Care, ER and doctors visits they collectively have had even since I started this fundraiser (sickness doesn't care if a family's heart of the home is injured). Though Michelle and CJ care for their home and babies better than most I know, chores are piling up, and Michelle has further injured herself in the disarray more than once, not even being able to use her knee scooter (which will be imperative during her two weeks post op with no-weight bearing) when the kids behave like kids with toys everywhere. Michelle has taught her kiddos beautiful self-help skills in snacks and laundry organizing and easy systems for toy clean up, and just this weekend CJ began teaching them to rinse their own dishes and place in washer. But it still would be nice to have an emergency, "All the kids are sick again, and I cannot safely grab those meds in that funky space in our small house," fund. You know. What we never think we have to plan for. A professional mother's helper comes to mind (though I know CJ plans to take time off post-op, as much as possible). Or, "Gosh it would be nice to order Door Dash because my ankle is screaming." I'd like to raise a little cushion money. This family is humble and selfless, and the last thing they would do is ask for help in anyway. If you know them, I am certain they have blessed you in some way along your own journey.
