Help the Cornetts

I’m reaching out to you in regards to the Cornett Family.  Let me first start out, by giving you a little bit of their history.

Matthew and Nicole have been inseparable since becoming high school sweethearts. In 2002 they were finally married and on their honeymoon, Matt found a tumor that was diagnosed as Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Matt immediately began chemotherapy and radiation and after several months he was in remission.  Matt and Nicole, like most newlyweds were, had plans to have children and starting a family.  At the time, Matt and Nicole were devastated because the results of Matts chemotherapy left him unable to have children.  They soon came to see this as a blessing in disguise when they were able to adopt four wonderful and amazing children from the foster care system.

Less than a year after Matt beat Hodgkins Lymphoma, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma when a tumor crushed his spinal cord and left him paralyzed from the waist down.  Over the next 2 years, Matt spent time in physical therapy learning to walk.  When he finally did, he was still left with almost no feeling from the waist down.  With no feeling from his waist, Matt started to develop ulcers in his feet.   The ulcers became so bad that Matt ended up having six surgeries and ultimately having the front halves of both feet amputated.

In 2019 Matt was denied short term disability, for which he  did not receive an income for several months.   While this was going on, his doctor ordered an MRI and discovered that he had been walking around with 2 fractured vertebrae.  He immediately underwent emergency neurosurgery, where the doctors discovered there were actually four fractured vertebrae.  Matt ended up having a double spinal fusion and spent the next three months trying to recover.  On January 13th, Matt was hospitalized due to persistent back pain and had another emergency neurosurgery to redo the entire spinal fusion surgery.
Even though Matt provided his employer with documentation that stated he needed emergency surgery, he received an email from his employer terminating his employment and medical insurance.  This has left Matt and his family without medical insurance or the primary salary in the household.  This family needs your help. They have several medical and financial bills they need help with. Please consider donating to this family.

After defeating cancer twice, Matt gained the strength and worked hard and got  accepted into The University Of Michigan.
Matt graduated from the U of M in 2014 with a degree in computer science from the college of engineering.  He was awarded the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation national scholarship that is awarded out to the top fifty community college students in the country.

Matt is one of the smartest people I know and would be an asset to any corporation. In the future, after Matt's recovery, please consider him.
