<div>You know the Colonial Theatre's bright blue, pink, and purple facade on High Street in Belfast. Our art-deco building is a flash of color in our community downtown, and represents generations of memories for our community. But - because of the age of our building, there are many aspects of our building that are aging, and we have many maintenance projects that we need to keep up with as time goes on.

<div>Our back steps don't need to be flashy, but we do need them to be safe. T<strong>his is why we are embarking on a project to renovate the back steps of the Colonial Theatre.</strong> These stairs act as an emergency exit in the event of an emergency, for patrons in all three cinemas of the building. In addition, repairing these stairs keeps us compliant with the guidelines and restrictions set by the Maine State Fire Marshall - without their occupancy certificate, we are not able to operate the theatre!

<div>We are setting the goal to raise <strong>$10,000 </strong>dollars to support the renovation of these back steps, including the doors and door hardware, before this winter. Every dollar that you are able to donate helps us to provide a safe environment for generations of memories yet to be made.
