On Christmas morning, our family experienced a devastating fire that has completely changed our lives. The fire started in our garage, which is attached to our home, and quickly spread. When the door from the garage to the house opened, thick smoke filled every room, causing massive smoke and fire damage throughout. The damage was so severe that we lost gas and electricity, and it’s no longer safe for us to live in our home. Now, my husband, our boys, our dog, and I are displaced and facing the reality of being away from our home for several months.

 Because of the smoke and fire damage, our clothing, toiletries, furniture, and everything inside the house are no longer usable and must be replaced. We are in despair, currently in shock and disbelief, but through God, we are staying focused and finding the strength to get through this challenging time.

 As many of you know, the Collins family has always tried to be generous and giving. This unexpected tragedy on Christmas morning has left us at a major loss, and we are grateful for any and all contributions. Whatever kind gesture you feel compelled to give from your heart will be deeply appreciated as we face this challenging season away from home.
