Help the children of Ahndrea Leal

Donation protected
Any funds raised as a result of this campaign will help the kids with expenses in the coming days, weeks, months following the very unexpected passing of their mother, Ahndrea. Her youngest two daughters were still in school, and she was the primary daycare provider for her oldest daughter. I am in hopes we can raise enough money to allow these kids to focus on grieving their mother, and not have to worry about bills and other expenses at this time.

I have included the obituary to help tell her story...

Ahndrea Renee Parson Leal March 7, 1975- January 31, 2018

Ahndrea Leal was born in Portland, Oregon to Kay Turay and Gregory Parson on March 7, 1975. She died, tragically, of cardiac arrest on January 31, 2018. Ahndrea grew up in Vancouver and spent much of her life there, attending Fort Vancouver High School. Ahndrea married Genaro Leal in 1994 and they lived in Vancouver as their family grew to 3 daughters, Monica Leal, 23 (Alex Levos), Maya Leal, 20, and Camilla Leal, 14. In addition to her children, she is survived by her mother, Kay Turay (Eric Branch); brothers, Damon Parson (Heather); Monte Parson (Irma); sister, Felicia Turay (Terrell Bates); grandson, Aedan Levos, 6 months, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family was the most important aspect of Ahndrea’s life, loving every minute she spent with them. Her husband and daughters remember her as a wonderful mother who loved music, movies, cooking and dancing. She loved to goof around and be silly with the girls, but she also showed her love by being a good disciplinarian when necessary. Her siblings will treasure the memories of playful teasing and camaraderie they enjoyed together. Ahndrea became a grandmother six months ago. She cherished this new role, often providing daycare while Monica and Alex were working.

Ahndrea enjoyed her work as an adult caregiver.  It was meaningful work for her and she loved connecting with her clients.  She knew she was making a difference in their lives.  It was perfect employment for someone who genuinely cared about people.

Although her journey in life was not easy, Ahndrea faced whatever challenges that came her way with strength. She was always quick with a smile and a kind word. Faith was an important part of Ahndrea. She often prayed, even up until her last conscious moments.  Ahndrea loved the Lord and was active in her church.

Ahndrea’s service will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at her church, Your Bible Speaks Seventh Day Adventist, 4606 NE 55th Ave. Portland, OR.
