In the early hours of May 28th, the Chen family—Andrew, Zoey, Sophia (who just turned 16), and Leah (age 5)—were awoken by their neighbor as their house was on fire. They managed to escape safely, along with their cat, but their home was badly damaged and all their belongings were lost. The shock and devastation of losing everything has been overwhelming, but the family is grateful for the support and kindness shown by the close PV community.

 The funds raised through this campaign will help the Chens purchase essential supplies, secure temporary housing, and provide food as they begin to rebuild their lives. The family is facing the challenge of starting over, needing to replace clothing, school supplies, and basic household items. Temporary housing and meals are an immediate concern as they work to find stability and comfort after such a traumatic event. The support from friends, neighbors, and the community has already made a difference, but there is still a long road ahead.
